What kind of job should I be looking for?

Almost any type of job would be okay for this program, but we can't accept:

• Childcare
• Camp
• Medical
• Jobs found through staffing or employment agencies  
• Third parties which take a fee based on the hours you work 
• Businesses without a proper business listing, office or phone 
• We don't provide housing nor assistance in finding accomodation during your stay in the U.S.

What should a job offer consist of?

You must submit an official Employment Offer or Interexchange Employment Agreement Form to us.

This form must clearly state the following:

• Company contact address, telephone number and tax ID number 
• Job title and brief description
• Number of work hours per week and salary
• Brief description of housing
• Period of employment (maximum 3 months)

Important Note! InterExchange New York will contact all self-arranged employers to confirm each job offer and discuss the details of employment.

It is important that all Self Arranged participants keep in touch with their employers to ensure that Interexchange won't have any problems verifying the job offers. 

How can I find a job offer?
