Employees must have good physical resilience and must be able to work at a high pace throughout the day. You must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis, be able to push/pull carts up to 250lbs, and be able to stand for long periods of time. We are looking for candidates with good attention to detail, an ability to follow instruction and work independently, and who are good at prioritizing tasks. A professional attitude is required and you must be reliable, efficient, friendly, honest, and able to address guest requests.
Description of working conditions
Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms. They will be responsible for cleaning rooms, vacuuming, changing linens and towels, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing products, cleaning laundry, and assisting guests as needed. You will be expected to clean rooms in a timely manner to support high volumes of guest room turnover. You should expect to use standard chemical cleaning products.
Housemen provide support to the housekeeping and laundry attendant staff. Housemen ensure that all grounds and public areas are clean and free of debris, always maintaining a flawless appearance throughout the entire day. Housemen assist housekeeping staff with removal of soiled linen and trash from guest rooms in addition to continuous rounds of removal from assigned floors throughout the day; transport soiled linen to the laundry room, sort in specified containers; empty and clean trash containers; operate rug machine in hallways and guest rooms; sweep balconies, wipe chairs, clean windows; assist laundry attendants with delivery of clean linen from outside laundry company (sheets,
pillowcases, pool towels, etc); accept deliveries for housekeeping and laundry department and put delivery in proper storage areas; refill the par stock of guest amenities and paper products in the housekeepers closets; sweep and clean staircase and elevator areas; assist housekeeping with heavy lifting when needed; assist guests with general questions and inquiries; respond to front desk when requested.
Uniform / Dress code
All team members are required to wear sneakers.
• Housekeepers - We provide uniform top and pants
• Housemen - We provide the uniform shirt, but you are responsible for bringing Khaki colored shorts or pants
You can expect to work 5-6 days/week, which is about 32-40 hours/week. The weather does not affect our schedule. Any changes will be communicated with you as soon as possible. Shift end times vary based on daily assignments, but you can typically expect to be at work until 4pm each scheduled work day. Schedules change weekly and are based on hotel’s occupancy. The schedules are posted in the housekeeping
office on Thursday for the following week.
Your employer does not provide housing. InterExchange will provide extensive resources and you will be responsible for arranging something on your own in advance. Housing in Wildwood fills up very quickly so it is strongly encouraged to confirm early. Housing in Wildwood is typically apartment/house shares with other participants. Rent can range from $75 - $115 per week. It is your responsibility to determine if a deposit
is required, the terms of getting back your deposit and how much money is needed upon arrival. You can send copies of any rental agreement to InterExchange for clarification.

The Wildwoods are an exciting place to be during the summer months. They are home of the world’s largest ferris wheel and boardwalk, and lined with amusement piers, shops and restaurants. Enjoy the world’s largest free beaches and beautiful ocean, as well as endless activities including water sports and so much more. We are located very close to New York and Philadelphia for easy day trips. The opportunities are endless!
