Named after Norwegian Olympic Gold Medal skier Stein Eriksen and nestled mid-mountain at Deer Valley Resort, the lodge is a European getaway in the heart of Park City. More than a resort hotel, the best hotel in park city, Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley, has become a legend in its own right, offering guests an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life through luxurious accommodations, world-class dining, legendary service, and year-round recreation. This year the hotel received the awards of "World's Best Ski Hotel" and "United States' Best Ski Hotel" at the World Ski Awards. The Chateaux Deer Valley is Stein’s sister property located directly across the street. The Chateaux is a Four-Star hotel with its accompanying restaurant, Cena Ristorante, offering Italian fanfare. Stein Eriksen Lodge Management Corporation assumed management of the Stein Eriksen Residences in December 2016. It is a community of private homes and condominiums that operates for its members and guests.
Description of working conditions
- Work Hours: You should expect to work an average of 32 hours/week throughout the summer.
- Work Start Dates: You should plan your U.S. arrival so you can begin working June 15.
- Work Finish Dates: We are looking for candidates who can finish working September 6 to September 30.You should be as upfront and honest as possible about your work finish date. It is customary in the U.S. to give at least two weeks notice of your final day of work.
Uniform / Dress code
You should maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times. Black non-slip shoes are required. The remaining uniform will be provided by the employer. There is a $100 refundable uniform deposit that will be refunded at the end of your employment, after you return all items to the employer.
Housekeeping Utility/Room Attendants require the ability to follow directions and be good guest relations (friendly and personable). Duties may include cleaning rooms thoroughly and keeping the closets stocked with supplies and linens. You need the ability to understand and perform exceptionally high quality of work while working quickly and efficiently. Prior housekeeping experience is helpful. Must be able to lift 20 - 50 lbs. and push 26 - 40 lbs. The wage is $15.00/hour.
Food & Beverage Utility employees must be able to carry large and heavy items. You should be a detail oriented person. Duties may include serving guests food, clearing tables, restocking the buffet, and breaking down tables and banquet setups. This person can keep composure in a fast paced environment and multi-task. Needs to be self-motivated and must work well with little or no supervision. We are hiring for Banquet Server, Setup, and Bus Person, as needed. The wage is $6.00 - $7.27/hour plus tips.
Housing Information: Housing is provided, but not required. Employer arranged housing costs $500.00 per participant, per month. $250.00 is deducted from each paycheck for housing costs. There is a $400.00 housing deposit to be paid prior to arrival - $350.00 of this deposit is refundable upon review of the condition that the tenants leave the property. Housing comes fully furnished – fridge, sofa, beds, linens, and towels. It is a shared room – meaning you will have someone of the same gender living in your room as a roommate. Tenants can request a roommate, though it is not guaranteed. Males and females will live in separate housing. Internet and cable are not included.
